  • Managing Director, MESA Global, where, among other transactions, he led the firm’s advisory work for the winning bidder of the Miramax film library.
  • Managing Director, Fortress Investment Group. Responsible for entertainment industry investments at the Drawbridge Special Opportunities Fund, a $6.5 billion credit hedge fund. Total portfolio cost of $342mm with an unlevered weighted average 14.1% IRR.
  • Senior Vice President, Corporate Development, Viacom Entertainment Group (Paramount Pictures).  Responsible for over $1.6 billion in structured film finance transactions, including Melrose Investors, LLC, a 1st-of-its-kind film slate financing.
  • Head of Business Affairs, Ogden Entertainment. Spearheaded new initiatives in location-based entertainment and IMAX films and theaters.

20+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN FILM, MUSIC AND TELEVISION INDUSTRIES INVESTMENT BANKING, INCLUDING PRIVATE PLACEMENTS, VALUATIONS, STRATEGIC ADVISORY, SELL/BUY-SIDE MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS, RESTRUCTURING, FINANCIAL DUE-DILIGENCE, MARKET-SIZING, FILM GROSS/PROFIT PARTICIPATIONS AND FINANCIAL MODELING.

  • Regularly performs consulting services ranging from due diligence for capital sources to the film and music industry to developing complex models, such as the one used by RIAA in their successful arbitration against the NMPA.
  • Advised Max Films, Unique Pictures (Bob Shaye), Tornante (Michael Eisner) on their capital raises, and Clarity Partners, Cerberus & Khazanah (Malaysian sovereign wealth fund) on their film investments.
  • Performed restructuring services for CitiGroup in regards to the bankruptcy of the Robert Halmi Company (NYSE: RHIE), Societe Generale in regards to the Morgan Creek International Limited bankruptcy, the unsecured credit committee of Yari Film Group Releasing and Halcyon fund in their sale of the Terminator franchise.
  • Director in FTI’s Media & Entertainment Group advising on projects ranging from library valuations, restructuring a film fund, digital audits of online music retailers, due diligence (Spyglass Entertainment), private placements (SpiralFrog, Rock River), and macro-economic analyses.

  • President, Programming and Development, CBS Television, in charge of developing, producing and managing all programming for CBS’ huge first run syndication business.  Responsible for over 2300 episodes of TV per year.  Initiated and negotiated the ground breaking partnership between CBS and Yahoo to transform and rebrand The Insider TV show into OMG Insider, thereby creating a 24/7 content experience across TV, Internet and mobile.
  • Co-Founder, bBooth, a digital media startup.  Raised $7.5m in startup capital.
  • Business Development Consultant/Advisory Board for interactive video tech company Coincident TV, closing six figure revenue deals at Fox, ABC and CBS.
